Recurring pool maintenance plans for pools that don't need a stop every week. Every-other-week full service, monthly chemistry checks and winter plans across Oklahoma City, Norman, Edmond, Moore and Yukon, all month to month.
Three recurring plans, one route
Every plan runs on the same route as our weekly pool cleaning, with a set service day and a report after every visit. What changes is how often we come and how much we do each time.
Every other week
A full clean and balance every 14 days, with a heavier chemical dose to carry the pool through the second week. It fits spring, fall, salt pools with robotic cleaners and lightly used pools.
Monthly
A chemistry-focused visit once a month: test and balance, empty baskets, check filter pressure and look over the equipment. Best for covered pools, winter months and owners who handle the skimming.
Why the schedule should follow the season
Central Oklahoma pools don't need the same care in January as in July. Summer water sits in the upper 80s, the sun burns off unstabilized chlorine in hours, and a thunderstorm can wash in enough runoff to zero out your sanitizer overnight. In that stretch a monthly visit leaves too much time for trouble. Winter is the opposite. Cold water holds chlorine for weeks, algae barely grows, and a weekly visit is mostly paying for a drive.
So we build recurring plans around the calendar, not one fixed frequency. A typical metro schedule:
- Late May to mid-September: weekly
- April to May and mid-September to October: every other week
- November to March: monthly, or a freeze-protection winter plan if the pool stays open
Switching is just a message to us. Your service day stays the same, and the visit report keeps the history in one place so nothing gets missed between visits.
What every recurring visit includes
- Free chlorine, pH, alkalinity and stabilizer tested and balanced
- Salt, calcium hardness and phosphates checked on a schedule
- Skimmer and pump baskets emptied
- Filter pressure logged, with a clean or backwash when needed
- Pump, heater, salt cell and automation looked over for faults
- A visit report with readings, chemicals added and notes
Every-other-week visits also include a full skim, brush and vacuum. Monthly visits add a quick skim and a clean-up of anything that would cause trouble before the next stop.

Who recurring monthly service fits
Covered pools. A safety cover keeps out leaves and sunlight, so the water needs chemistry, not cleaning. Monthly checks keep it from turning over the winter. See pool covers.
Pools that stay open all winter. Many OKC-metro pools run year-round on freeze protection. A monthly visit confirms the pump settings, balances the water and clears storm debris before it sinks.
Second homes, rentals and absentee owners. A recurring plan with photo reports means you know the pool's condition without driving over to check.
Hands-on owners. If you like skimming and running the cleaner yourself but don't want to guess at chemistry, monthly or every-other-week service handles the part that's easiest to get wrong.

Is monthly pool service enough in Oklahoma?
From October through April, often yes. From late May through mid-September, rarely. At summer water temperatures a pool can lose its chlorine and start growing algae within a few days, so a monthly visit leaves about three weeks for something to go wrong. Most metro homeowners run weekly in summer and step down to every-other-week or monthly the rest of the year.
What's the difference between every-other-week and monthly service?
Every-other-week service is a full clean and balance every 14 days. Monthly service is a chemistry-focused visit (test, balance, baskets, filter check and a look at the equipment) for pools that are covered, lightly used or in winter mode. You do the skimming in between.
Can I switch between weekly and monthly during the year?
Yes, and most customers do. Your plan follows the season: weekly in summer, every other week in spring and fall, monthly or a winter plan once the pool is covered or on freeze protection. We'll suggest the switch dates, and nothing locks you in.
